Sneak Peek Sample

York tried to go back to what he was doing, but something distracted him, tickling at the back of his consciousness.

Ubelein helped himself from Dalby’s treat bag and propped his feet on the seat across from him.  He spread his arms across the backrest, gesturing to their luxurious surroundings.  “Even your house isn’t as fancy as this, Maurice, and none of us is paying for it!”

“Oh we paid for it,” Maurice answered, “with our sweat and pain and years of hard work.  Enjoy it while you can, because next week we go back into training.”  Maurice stopped talking when he saw York raise his head.

York looked at the floor, then back at the ceiling.  Noticing that the conversation around him had ceased, he asked, “Is it my imagination, or is this coach shaking?”

This is the crucial event that sends York and Maurice on their forbidden adventure told in Untamed Valor.
